Re: Prayer Vigil on Saturday For Fire Victims

I received the following notice from Bernadette Giblin, a Ward 3 resident and relative of the members of the Yeskie family who perished in the recent fires, about a candlelight prayer vigil tomorrow. Here is the message she sent me:

On Saturday, January 2nd @ 4:30 a candlelight prayer vigil will be held in front of the First Church of Northampton in honor of Paul Yeskie Sr. and Paul Yeskie Jr. and the families who were left homeless from the fires that occurred on December 27th.

We will remember the two wonderful men who perished and support those who miraculously survived. Additionally, this gathering will serve to unite our community, open our hearts to each other and restore and protect our neighborhoods. Our unity, understanding and openness will make this rash of senseless violence a thing of the past.

Candles will not be provided. *PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CANDLE* I look forward to seeing you all there to stand in solidarity with me.
